Hurghada, originally a small fishing village is now one of the
tourism centres of Egypt. Egyptian and foreign investors has
continuously enlarged the city to make it the leading seashore resort
on the Red Sea. It offers ample water sport facilities like sail
boarding, yachting, scuba diving and snorkeling. Hurghada also boasts
several finest coral reefs of the world. It extends approximately
40 km along the seashore, and does not reach the surrounding desert.
The city is called the party town and provides a wide range of best
nightclubs and sophisticated restaurants. It has the Hurghada International Airport with scheduled flights to and from Cairo and direct
connections with many European cities.
Hurghada is a great place for Egyptian real estate. Prices of Hurghada
property are still low while tourism has increased up to 35% since
2000. Many regard the city as an up market resort having well
developed residential areas.
